Brightwell Aquatics Koral MD Pro Coral Dip - Cleaner
Brightwell Aquatics Koral MD Pro is the professional-strength version of Koral MD: a prophylactic cleaner, dip, and conditioner for new corals, live rock, and empty coral fragging and holding systems. It contains no iodine. Use it to clean corals before acclimation so unwanted substances are not carried into your aquarium, to help newly fragmented corals acclimate, and to wash new or damaged corals. It is safe for dipping stony and soft corals, sea anemones, mushroom anemones, and zoanthids. Pair it with our corals as part of your quarantine routine.
How to Dip
- Shake the bottle very well before every use.
- Add 30 drops (1.5 mL) to 1 gallon (3.8 L) of aged seawater, ideally old aquarium water, in a plastic container. Mix well.
- Place the coral in the mixture so it is completely immersed.
- Bathe for 5 to 10 minutes (15 minutes is the absolute maximum), gently agitating the mixture or stirring it with a small powerhead.
- Use a turkey baster to squirt dip between branches and into spots you cannot reach.
- Rinse the coral thoroughly in plain aged seawater, then place it in the aquarium.
- Discard the mixture after one hour.
