Is this real live rock with bacteria?
No, Fragzone is dry, sterile aragonite. It will not cycle a tank on its own. Use it in an established reef, or pair it with a bacteria starter like Brightwell MicroBacter to seed it.

Do I need to cure or soak it first?
A quick freshwater or RO/DI rinse is enough to knock off dust. No long curing cycle is required since it is dry, inert rock.

Will the pink color fade?
The base color is permanent. Real coralline algae will grow over it in a mature reef and may eventually overtake the original tint, which is exactly what you want.
