Milwaukee pH Calibration Solution
Keep your pH readings honest. Milwaukee pH Calibration Solution comes in single-use 20 mL sachets of pH 7.01 and pH 10.01 buffer, the two reference points most aquarium pH probes and pens use for an accurate two-point calibration. A drifting probe is the most common reason a tank "reads fine" while parameters quietly slip, so fresh, sealed buffer is cheap insurance for any reef or planted tank running a pH controller or monitor. Pairs perfectly with the gear in our water testing collection.
How Two-Point Calibration Works
A pH probe is calibrated against known reference values. You dip the rinsed probe in pH 7.01 to set the neutral point, then in pH 10.01 (or pH 4.01) to set the slope. Tear a sachet, calibrate, and discard. For reef and high-alkalinity tanks the 7.01 and 10.01 pair brackets your real-world readings best; freshwater and planted keepers running CO2 can use 7.01 with a 4.01 buffer if their water trends acidic.
Features
Choose Your Buffer
| Spec | pH 7.01 | pH 10.01 |
|---|---|---|
| Calibration point | Neutral / zero point | High / slope point |
| Use it for | Every calibration (the baseline) | Reef & alkaline tanks (slope) |
| Volume | 20 mL single-use | 20 mL single-use |
| SKU | M10007 | M10010 |
For a standard two-point calibration on a reef or marine tank, grab one of each. Most controllers walk you through 7.01 first, then 10.01.

FAQ
How often should I calibrate my pH probe?
Most hobbyists calibrate every 1 to 2 months, and any time a reading looks off. Probes drift gradually, so a quick recalibration keeps your controller dosing and alarms trustworthy.
Do I need both 7.01 and 10.01?
For a two-point calibration, yes. The 7.01 sets the baseline and the second buffer sets the slope. Reef and alkaline tanks pair 7.01 with 10.01; acidic or CO2-injected planted tanks may prefer 7.01 with a 4.01 buffer.
Why single-use sachets instead of a bottle?
Buffer solution changes value once it is exposed to air. A sealed sachet you open once gives a far more accurate calibration than buffer from a bottle that has been opened repeatedly.
Will these work with my brand of probe?
Yes. pH 7.01 and 10.01 are standard reference values, so they calibrate Hydros, Apex, Milwaukee, and essentially any aquarium or handheld pH meter.
