Red Sea Reef-Frame 170 Aquarium System (35.9 Gallon) is Red Sea's new eurobraced reef-ready aquarium and cabinet. It is built from thick ultra-clear glass on a marine-spec plywood cabinet that supports the full footprint of the tank, and it comes with a Reef Spec sump and quiet ReefGate plumbing already in place. Build Your Own Setup
The Reef-Frame is an equipment-ready platform. The return pump, circulation pumps, protein skimmer, ReefMat, ReefLED lighting, ReefControl controller, and ATO module are not included. Choose Your Cabinet Finish
Pick Black, White, or Oak from the drop-down above. The Reef-Frame cabinet is marine-spec plywood built to support the full footprint of the glass, with adjustable leveling feet and stainless steel hinges. Oak is new with Reef-Frame and is not offered on the REEFER G3. The Oak finish arrives October 15, so it shows as sold out until then. Black and White can be special ordered now.

What comes with the Reef-Frame 170?
The aquarium, a marine-spec plywood cabinet in your chosen finish, a Reef Spec sump, and the ReefGate plumbing. Lights, skimmer, pumps, ReefMat, controller, and ATO are not included.
How is it different from the REEFER G3?
The REEFER G3 is rimless with a laminated cabinet and includes a ReefATO+. The Reef-Frame is eurobraced with thicker glass on a plywood cabinet, adds an Oak finish, and leaves the ATO as an optional add-on.
How is it different from the Reef-Frame MAX 170?
The MAX version is the same tank and cabinet with Red Sea's full ReefBeat equipment package installed: ReefLED lighting, a REEFER DC skimmer, ReefWave circulation, a ReefRun return pump, ReefMat, and ReefControl Pro with ATO.
Freshwater or saltwater?
It is designed as a reef system. The sump layout is built around a protein skimmer and ReefMat for saltwater use.
How does the warranty work?
Every Reef-Frame includes a 3-year warranty, plus 2 more years when you register your system with Red Sea within 90 days of purchase.
