How to Dose

Each cap thread is about 1 mL for smaller tanks. Start on the low end and work up. Some sensitive plants such as Vallisneria, mosses, and Anacharis can react to higher doses, so ease into it if you keep them.

Do I still need a CO2 system?
No. Flourish Excel supplies carbon on its own, so it is a great fit for low-tech tanks. If you already run pressurized CO2, Excel can complement it.
How much do I dose?

Will it hurt my plants or fish?
