Seachem Reef Fusion 2
Seachem Reef Fusion 2 is the alkalinity half of Seachem's Reef Fusion two-part dosing system. It supplies carbonates to maintain alkalinity, along with magnesium and a blend of trace elements, giving corals the building blocks they need for steady skeletal growth and a stable reef. Available from a 500 mL bottle up to a 4 L value size.
Why Reef Fusion 2
- Maintains carbonate alkalinity, the buffer that keeps reef pH and calcification stable
- Also supplies magnesium and trace elements used by growing corals
- Designed as the anionic (part 2) component of the Reef Fusion two-part system
- Dose alongside a calcium source for fully balanced Ca and alkalinity
- Concentrated liquid, available in four sizes from nano reefs to large systems
How to Dose
Add Reef Fusion 2 as directed for your tank volume to hold alkalinity in the ideal 7 to 11 dKH range, and pair it with a calcium supplement so the two stay in balance. Raise alkalinity gradually, no more than about 1 dKH per day, and test regularly. Heavily stocked SPS systems consume more, so dose to your tank's measured uptake.

Keep Calcium and Alkalinity in Balance
Alkalinity and calcium move together in a reef, so pair Reef Fusion 2 with a calcium source like Seachem Reef Complete. Prefer dry dosing? FAQ
Do I need Reef Fusion 1 too?
Reef Fusion is built as a two-part system, with part 1 supplying calcium and part 2 supplying alkalinity. You can run Reef Fusion 2 for alkalinity and pair it with any quality calcium supplement, such as Seachem Reef Complete, to keep both in balance.
What alkalinity should I target?
Most reefs do well between 7 and 11 dKH. Pick a number in that range and hold it steady; stability matters more than the exact value.
Can I dose calcium and alkalinity at the same time?
Add them separately, a few minutes apart or in different areas of flow. Dosing concentrated calcium and alkalinity into the same spot at once can cause them to precipitate.
