How to Change a Cartridge

• Remove one cartridge from the bag and rinse it under cold water to wash off loose carbon dust.
• Lift off the ReptoFilter lid and take out the old cartridge.
• Slide the new cartridge into the "V" slots, all the way down into the filter, and replace the lid.
• Mark the date. Tetra recommends a fresh cartridge every 28 days, or sooner if water starts flowing over the top of the cartridge, a sign it is clogged.

Medium fits the ReptoFilter 90 GPH, the Decorative ReptoFilter, and the Viquarium. Large fits the ReptoFilter 125 GPH.

How often should I change it?
Every 28 days for best water quality, or sooner if water starts backing up and flowing over the cartridge.

Do I need to rinse a new cartridge?
Yes. A quick rinse under cold water removes loose carbon dust so it does not cloud the tank.

How long does a 3-pack last?
About 12 weeks at one cartridge every 28 days.
