Vitalis Anemone Pellets 4mm
Vitalis Anemone Pellets are a soft, meaty 4mm pellet made to be caught by an anemone the way it would catch a chunk of fish on the reef. Whole fish meal, squid and shrimp give a 51% protein hit in a piece the tentacles can hold and fold into the mouth, and the pellet breaks down slowly so it does not dissolve before the anemone has it. Feed it to the anemone and the clownfish will feed themselves on Vitalis Marine Pellets. See all coral and invertebrate foods.
Features
- 4mm soft pellet sized for the tentacles of bubble tip, carpet and magnificent anemones
- Break a pellet in half for small anemones or feed two or three whole to a large one
- 51% protein from whole fish, molluscs and crustaceans
- Sinks and holds together, so it can be placed on the tentacles with tongs
- 60g resealable pot, made in the UK by World Feeds
Which anemones
Bubble tip anemones (Entacmaea quadricolor), carpet anemones, magnificent and Ritteri anemones, sebae and long tentacle anemones, condy and rock flower anemones. Also taken by large polyp corals and feather dusters.
Feeding Guide
Turn the pumps down, place one to three pellets directly on the tentacles with feeding tongs or drop them from a turkey baster just upstream, and give the anemone ten minutes to close over them before restoring flow. Two or three feedings a week is plenty; a well lit anemone gets most of its energy from light and overfeeding only fouls the water. Remove any pellet the anemone spits out.

FAQ
My clownfish steal the pellets before the anemone gets them. Feed the fish first with a pinch of pellets on the other side of the tank, then feed the anemone while they are busy.
How often should I feed a bubble tip? Two or three times a week for a growing anemone, once a week for a large established one under strong light.
Can I use it for corals? Yes for large mouthed LPS such as trachyphyllia and scolymia. For smaller polyps use the LPS Coral Pellets.
