Vitalis Freshwater Shrimp Pellets are a small, soft sinking pellet balanced for shrimp rather than fish: algae rich, moderate protein, and shaped so a colony of cherry or crystal shrimp can gather round a pellet and pick at it for an hour. Who it is for

Neocaridina such as cherry, blue dream and yellow shrimp, Caridina such as crystal red and black, tiger and taiwan bee, amano shrimp, bamboo and vampire shrimp, plus nerite, ramshorn and Malaysian trumpet snails.

Feeding Guide

Feed a small pinch every other day for a colony, or a few pellets daily in a heavily stocked tank. Shrimp need far less than you think; a pellet the colony has not finished in a few hours is too much. Remove leftovers to keep ammonia at zero, which matters more to shrimp than to any fish.

FAQ

Is it safe for crystal and bee shrimp? Yes. It is formulated for Caridina as well as Neocaridina.

Will my fish steal it? Small tetras will pick at it. Feed the fish first on the other side of the tank, or use it in a shrimp only tank.

How much for 20 cherry shrimp? Three or four pellets every other day, plus whatever biofilm the tank grows on its own.
