Ziss Fish & Shrimp Egg Tumbler (ZET-65)
The Ziss Fish & Shrimp Egg Tumbler (model ZET-65) is a precision egg incubator that gently rolls eggs in a soft, adjustable current, mimicking the constant fanning a parent fish would provide. That steady motion keeps eggs oxygenated and helps prevent the fungus that ruins so many spawns, dramatically improving hatch rates.
Pair it with the rest of our air pumps and accessories and browse our freshwater livestock to put it to work.
Features
- Adjustable, gentle flow. Dial the air-driven current up or down to tumble large or small eggs with ease. For eggs that should not roll, lower the flow so water simply circulates around them.
- Higher hatch rates. Constant, gentle motion keeps eggs clean and oxygenated and helps stop fungus before it spreads.
- Versatile. Great for African cichlid (mouthbrooder) eggs that have been stripped, plus pleco and Corydoras eggs, and shrimp.
- Easy mounting. Attaches to the side of the aquarium with the included Ziss super-strong suction cups.
How It Works
Connect the tumbler to an air pump (sold separately). Rising bubbles create an upwelling that lifts and rolls the eggs in a slow, even tumble. You control the intensity with the flow adjustment, so delicate eggs get a soft roll while larger eggs get enough movement to stay clean. Mount it inside the tank with the suction cups and keep an eye on the eggs as they develop and hatch.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an air pump?
Yes. The tumbler runs on air, so you will need an air pump and airline (sold separately). Any standard aquarium air pump works.
What eggs can I tumble?
It is popular for stripped African cichlid eggs and also works well for pleco, Corydoras, and shrimp eggs. The adjustable flow lets you match the tumble to the egg size.
Why tumble eggs at all?
Tumbling mimics a parent fanning the eggs. It keeps them oxygenated and clean, which helps prevent fungus and raises the number of eggs that successfully hatch.
Can eggs that should not roll still use it?
Yes. Turn the flow down so water gently circulates around the eggs without rolling them, giving them clean, oxygenated water while they develop.
