ZooMed Gourmet ReptiSticks
Zoo Med Gourmet ReptiSticks is a floating stick food for aquatic turtles blended with whole sun dried red shrimp, dried mealworms, and real cranberries. The 36% protein recipe brings the variety of a wild diet to feeding time, and the floating sticks sit right at the surface where turtles naturally hunt.
Keep a staple pellet like Zoo Med Natural Aquatic Turtle Food in the rotation, and give your turtle a dry spot to warm up with the Zoo Med Turtle Dock.
Why Gourmet
Whole shrimp and mealworms are the treats aquatic turtles attack on sight, and cranberries are a natural food item of many North American species like sliders, painted turtles, and map turtles. Zoo Med folds all three into a fish meal and kale based stick with added vitamins and minerals, and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. Floating sticks also make cleanup easy, since leftovers are simple to scoop out before they break down.
How to Feed
- Feed every other day, about four times per week.
- Offer roughly one level tablespoon per turtle, adjusted for size and appetite.
- Give turtles about 5 minutes to eat, then remove anything uneaten within the hour to protect water quality.
- Do not overfeed. Leftover food in the water is the fastest way to foul a turtle tank.

FAQ
Is this a complete daily diet?
It is formulated for aquatic turtles 2 inches and up, and most keepers get the best results rotating it with a staple pellet so the diet stays balanced and varied.
Do the sticks sink?
No, they float. Surface feeders find every piece, and anything left over is easy to scoop out.
My turtle only picks out the shrimp. Is that a problem?
It is common at first. Offer a little less per feeding and most turtles will finish the sticks once the favorites are gone.
Which jar should I buy?
The 4.5 oz jar is right for one young turtle. Go with 8.5 oz for adults or multiple turtles so it stays fresh without constant reordering.
