Aquatop Pisces 10W Pre-Set Nano Aquarium Heater
The Aquatop Pisces 10W Pre-Set Nano Aquarium Heater is a tiny, fully submersible heater made for tanks up to 3 gallons: betta cubes, desktop shrimp tanks and the Aquatop Pisces 3 gallon kit it was designed for. It is factory set to 78 degrees F, holds within about 1.8 degrees, and shuts itself off when the water reaches temperature, so there is no dial to fiddle with and no risk of cooking a small tank. The heat-resistant quartz tube mounts with the included suction cups and hides behind rock or plants. Pair it with a thermometer such as the ATSD-01 stick-on strip and browse the rest of our water care and monitoring gear.
Why You'll Love It
- Sized for nano tanks: 10 watts is right for 1 to 3 gallons, where a bigger heater overshoots.
- Pre-set to 78 degrees F: the sweet spot for bettas, tetras, shrimp and most tropical community fish, with about plus or minus 1.8 degrees of accuracy.
- Shuts off at temperature: the electronic thermostat stops heating when the water reaches its target and cycles back on as it cools.
- Fully submersible: mount it horizontally or vertically, anywhere the suction cups reach.
- Quartz tube: heat-resistant glass built for constant submersion in fresh or salt water.
- Fits the Pisces 3G kit: the replacement heater for the Aquatop Pisces 3 gallon all-in-one.
How to Use
- Rinse the heater and press the suction cups onto a clean pane, fully below the water line and in the path of gentle flow.
- Let it sit in the water for 15 minutes before plugging in so the tube reaches water temperature.
- Plug it in and check the tank with a thermometer after a few hours.
- Always unplug it before water changes or maintenance that lowers the water level.

FAQ
Can I change the temperature? No. It is fixed at 78 degrees F, which suits most tropical fish and shrimp. Choose an adjustable heater if you need a cooler or warmer set point.
Is 10 watts enough? For a tank up to 3 gallons in a normally heated room, yes. If the room drops into the low 60s, step up to the 25 W Pisces.
Can it run out of water? Never let the water level drop below the heater while it is plugged in; unplug it for water changes.
Does it need a controller? Not for a nano tank; the built-in thermostat cycles it. A stick-on or glass thermometer is a good independent check.
