Male bettas are territorial and must be kept one to a tank. Never house two males together, and do not keep a male with females outside a controlled breeding setup. What is a Super Delta?
A tail-spread grade. A standard delta opens to roughly 90 degrees, a halfmoon opens to a full 180, and a super delta sits in between, usually 120 to 160. You get most of the drama of a halfmoon with slightly less fin weight for the fish to haul around.

Why does this betta cost more than the others?
Pastel pink and white lines are harder to breed cleanly and are in higher demand, and this is a show-grade individual rather than a standard production fish. The care is identical to any other betta.

Will he stay this pink?
Maybe. See the note above: pastel lines carry marble influence and the color can drift as he matures. Most keepers find the change interesting rather than disappointing, but if you want a fixed color for years, a solid-colored line is the safer bet.

Does he need a heater?
Yes. Room temperature is too cold for a betta in most homes, and a chilled betta gets lethargic, stops eating, and becomes prone to infection. A small adjustable heater holding 78 to 82°F is the single best thing you can buy him.

Can I keep him in a bowl?
