ZooMed Betta Plant - Bamboo
The ZooMed Betta Plant - Bamboo is a soft silk aquarium plant designed specifically for betta tanks. The slender, bamboo-style stalks give your betta cover, a place to rest, and a natural feel without any of the lighting, dosing, or trimming a live plant would need. Browse our full live aquarium plant collection if you want a planted setup, or see the rest of our freshwater fish to pair it with.
Why Betta Keepers Like It
- Fin-safe silk. Soft fabric leaves will not tear or fray long, delicate betta fins the way plastic plants can.
- Suction cup base. Attaches anywhere on the glass without needing substrate or weights, perfect for bare-bottom or planted nano tanks.
- Tall, vertical shape. Reaches the upper third of the tank where bettas naturally hang out and build bubble nests.
- Zero maintenance. No lighting, CO2, ferts, or trimming. Rinse occasionally and put it back.
- Stress reduction. Provides hiding spots and breaks line of sight, which keeps a solo betta calmer.

FAQ
Is the plant really safe for long betta fins?
Yes. Silk plants are the standard recommendation for bettas because the fabric leaves are soft and will not snag or rip fins like hard plastic plants can.
How do I attach it?
Wet the suction cup, press it firmly onto a clean section of glass, and the plant will hold itself in place. Re-seat it if the glass gets dirty.
Will it work in a saltwater tank?
The plant itself is inert and safe, but it is designed for the freshwater betta look and will not be a natural fit in a reef aquascape.
How do I clean it?
Rinse in tank water during your weekly water change, or give it a gentle warm-water rinse to knock off any film. Never use soap.
